Sept 30th/Oct 1st Show Cancellation

Hey Everyone,

For those who didn't tune into the Wednesday Morning (Sept 27th) Edition of The Genocydal Empyre v2.0, I announced that day that the show for Sept 30th/Oct 1st would be cancelled. My executive producer is in town and the creative end of the show and, since she's leaving early Sunday we're gonna be sleeping that night to get her to the airport and back to Jersey.

I know some bands have been waiting to be premiered and you will, don't worry. Right now is a very busy time and we've been trying to get everything in that we can.

Ok, so the Virus 1.5 ain't flyin that night but hey, don't feel bad...know why? Because you can still Rage the hell out to some of the same killer shit that I've been playing but with another killer DJ/Musician.

That's right, Cyberage Radio with Tommy T. will be going live and if you're in the Albuquerque area, you can listen on KUNM FM Radio OR if you're anywhere else in the world, just tune in via kunm.org and stream it live. Knowing T, he'll prolly have some shit that I don't and you might like it, so hey, don't be glum....RAGE!

Alright, my fellow industrialites, check this out.

I know (dick that I can be at times) that I forgot the times but fear not my compatriots of The Empyre.

Times for Transmission of Cyberage from the terrestrial station known as KUNM (kunm.org) are as follows:

12am Pacific Standard Time
1am Mountain Standard Time
2am Central
3am Eastern

Now, what you'll be hearing will sound something like The Great Electron Stream being brutally disturbed. Aside from bands like KMFDM, Ministry, Electric Hellfire Club and all your industrial faves, you'll be hearing up-and-coming brutal assaults from the following:

Lexincrypt
Andraculoid
Punish Yourself
DerDRAKOS
Diverje
In-Fused
Tamtrum
Bio-Mechanical Degeneration
Type 001
The Mercy Cage
Run Level Zero
Symbiont
God Komplex
Asseptic Room
and many many more!

So jack in to this twisted dream of an Impyrial Ally and get your dose. You can also make requests via phone at 505-266-5165, myspace at http://www.myspace.com/dsbp, http://www.myspace.com/tommyt or http://www.myspace.com/diverje.

Tune in to one hell of an industrial HELL-Ektro Experience and be sure to tell 'em Lord Genocyde sent ya.

Virus Actual...out.

Tammi,

I know I usually respond to you via email (as that's how I get the alerts that someone...namely you about 99% of the time) actually comments to my blog. This time, I'll just do it here. Why? I dunno...it's a mystery even to me.

About Narrow Minds:

This mostly came from being the unpopular kid in high school. Yeah, like Phil Anselmo said in the Pantera song (Killer metal band from Texas being quoted here) "A New Level":

"Now, a new look in my eyes
My spirit rise...

Forget the past
Present tense works and lasts

Got shit on, pissed on, spit on,
stepped on, fucked with...pointed
at by lesser men...

New Life in place of Old Life
Unscarred by trials..."

And I think that about sums it up. This was my escape...music. Then the drinking of course. By the time the chips were down, I quit trying to prove the rumors wrong. It wasn't worth the time. They would believe what they wanted. What I knew then was an entirely different story.

About Heroism:

Heroes in our myth and legend were nothing short of superhuman. These people of all races, genders and creeds were doing the extraordinary. They rose up against remarkable odds and even if they died, presented one thing that cannot be denied. Fear was an enemy that could cripple you and ideas were immortal. For Reference look at V For Vendetta and Daredevil...no lie.

William Wallace proved it. Martin Luther King did as well. Myamoto Musashi even showed people a great way of life as did Gandhi. The point? The power of one is the power to stand and stay even as the train bears down on you.

I'm not superhuman. I didn't overcome impossible odds save for dying and coming back. I've just always joked that Hell Was Full. Unlike many who've passed on into legend to pass on into myth, I never slaughtered a great mass of people for the greater good...if that can even count in the grand scheme. I'm just loud, obnoxious and as Hatebreed put it in thier song that will forever remind me of you and Fred:

"Through The Worst
We Prevail...
So Our Voices Will Be Heard."

Yeah, sure, I came up through bullshit. I was consumed by my own contempt and hatred. I've even turned myself over to an evil most savage and gave in to my inner demons and my darkness, and saw the emptiness that saw me as I looked at my own reflection, a fact which I will never pride myself on, but through it all, I maintained my freedom. How you and Fred came through that...defies even my own logic but shines as a testament to the power of the human spirit.

It's not me who is the hero. Those titles belong to people like you and Fred.

About My Stories:

Remember that my stories are only about 15% of what actually happened, 70% my own perception, and the last 15% being my own insane view of the world. It's window dressing, an illusion if you will. Will I ever argue if you like to read it?

Never. :-)

SINcerely,
Damien.
