Immune System Tour In Full Swing

Immune System Tour In Full Swing

Lord Genocyde wasn't joking on the YouTube release when he said the dates had been sold out prior to any major listing. In fact, dates on the tour had been completely sold out within the first 48 hours of posting the news to a few message boards.

"Fact is," Lord Genocyde tells Krush News, "people couldn't wait. It was like a madhouse with online ticket sales. It was a surprise because the first two CDs didn't exactly fly off the shelves but so many had heard it on terrestrial and internet radio. That was the shock to us, just how many had heard them. It's really making us hopeful that this one not only takes off but also helps the other two boost as well."

CD sales of Weltanschuuang and Phallusuberalles weren't exactly nonexistant but they had been low. Promotion of the two albums had been somewhat scant and it left Immune System being one of the most underrated industrial acts in the genre. Lord Genocyde says that's exactly what makes this tour needed.

"When Todd approached me," he told us, "It was just sort of an idea he hadn't really taken seriously at first. After awhile it became serious...extremely so. The longer these ideas between us were tossed about, the more excited Todd got and once he saw the ticket sales on this tour, he was like a kid who owned the damn candy shop. It was amazing. The dude's energy just ignited. It was unreal. I'm still really honored that he decided to bring me on board because it's a project where we've both just clicked onto a wavelength and rode it."

Now, with the dates scheduled, booked and sold, Lord Genocyde gives us a little peek of the larger picture.

"I've said before that it's going to be an experience," he said, "but then again, you'll never experience anything like this in your life. Just imagine what would have happened if someone like Hitler had been able to back his propaganda with some type of mysticism that would have just given him the minds of anyone he'd ever spoken to? With that kinda charisma, we'd all have fallen under his rule. That's a pretty scary thought but with this, it's different. It's a different world view, yeah, but it's not one where people are getting slaughtered by the millions over a political or religious belief. This is the brutal slaughter of an entire way of thinking. One that's held us back from evolving. Damn right I'd sign up for that. These shows are going to be the biggest mix of post-modern propaganda, music and humans just melding with each other. Alex Jones is out there saying that politicians want a New World Order...I say it's time we gave them Todd's. It just seems like a better one anyway."

Still, why after two CDs does the support finally come? Lord Genocyde also had an answer for that.

"Because these were written to be sleeper hits," he told Krush News, "It's like one of those bombs you stick in a garbage can somewhere. Ya toss something in and then before everyone knows it, the shit hits the fan and it's on everyone's mind. It's something everyone talks about and they talk about it for years to come. These aren't just concerts that are being played. Anyone can just put on a concert and entertain. This goes way past all that and it's going to be very personal for everyone in attendance."

Live In Hyperborea is the name of the new album but still doesn't have a release date as of yet. Still, Lord Genocyde promises us that even the CD itself will help many of the concertgoers and those who didn't make it to live out the experience of Immune System at anytime.
