Sept 30th/Oct 1st Show Cancellation

Hey Everyone,

For those who didn't tune into the Wednesday Morning (Sept 27th) Edition of The Genocydal Empyre v2.0, I announced that day that the show for Sept 30th/Oct 1st would be cancelled. My executive producer is in town and the creative end of the show and, since she's leaving early Sunday we're gonna be sleeping that night to get her to the airport and back to Jersey.

I know some bands have been waiting to be premiered and you will, don't worry. Right now is a very busy time and we've been trying to get everything in that we can.

Ok, so the Virus 1.5 ain't flyin that night but hey, don't feel bad...know why? Because you can still Rage the hell out to some of the same killer shit that I've been playing but with another killer DJ/Musician.

That's right, Cyberage Radio with Tommy T. will be going live and if you're in the Albuquerque area, you can listen on KUNM FM Radio OR if you're anywhere else in the world, just tune in via kunm.org and stream it live. Knowing T, he'll prolly have some shit that I don't and you might like it, so hey, don't be glum....RAGE!

Alright, my fellow industrialites, check this out.

I know (dick that I can be at times) that I forgot the times but fear not my compatriots of The Empyre.

Times for Transmission of Cyberage from the terrestrial station known as KUNM (kunm.org) are as follows:

12am Pacific Standard Time
1am Mountain Standard Time
2am Central
3am Eastern

Now, what you'll be hearing will sound something like The Great Electron Stream being brutally disturbed. Aside from bands like KMFDM, Ministry, Electric Hellfire Club and all your industrial faves, you'll be hearing up-and-coming brutal assaults from the following:

Lexincrypt
Andraculoid
Punish Yourself
DerDRAKOS
Diverje
In-Fused
Tamtrum
Bio-Mechanical Degeneration
Type 001
The Mercy Cage
Run Level Zero
Symbiont
God Komplex
Asseptic Room
and many many more!

So jack in to this twisted dream of an Impyrial Ally and get your dose. You can also make requests via phone at 505-266-5165, myspace at http://www.myspace.com/dsbp, http://www.myspace.com/tommyt or http://www.myspace.com/diverje.

Tune in to one hell of an industrial HELL-Ektro Experience and be sure to tell 'em Lord Genocyde sent ya.

A Complete Disagreement (Maxim's Fall From Grace)

Excerpted from Maxim Magazine, August of 2006:

Among the 100 Things that Maxim feels I should know about women...I found this:

34. Chick rock strikes a deeply primal chord inside women while simultaneously revolting men. Just sit back and let her sing the Sarah McLachlan or Ani DiFranco song. It's only about four minutes long.

I'm sorry did I miss something? Chick rock revolts me? Hey, I happen to like some of Sarah McLachlan's songs and I don't know enough about Ani DiFranco to care whether or not my significant other is singing her music. Hell, take Starlit's Simara Rose...helluva voice and, while it can apply to women anywhere, it can also apply to anyone. Let's go one step further...remember Lita Ford? Yeah, she had the look of the typical hairsprayed rocker back in the day but lyrically, that was chick rock and I still listened, almost religiously at that. Still not convinced? Evanescence, Lacuna Coil, Lorena McKennitt, kHz, The Guano Apes, Reism, Collide...ok, so I don't know that some of these bands are necessarily "chick rock" but hey, if my girlfriend's voice is as good as thiers, she could be singing Nightwish for all I care and I'd be just as happy hearing that.

Maxim's uber-machismo gets in the way again. These beer-swilling swine are tripping over their own private parts, seeking to define a generation of men when their audience consists largely of hormone-addled teenagers, raised on their X-Boxes to the point of nausea. Hey, you know, I'll admit that over half of what Maxim has had in it's pages has not only entertained me but has made me laugh on days when I really needed it but, hey, ladies, listen to me when I say this. Maxim, FHM, Stuff, Playboy, Penthouse, Hustler...these will never define us. Martha Stewart cannot collectively speak for all of you and I understand that but The Big Six are making us look like mead-swilling, sword-swinging, oversexed barbarians from a Michael Crichton novel.

The truth is, I love female fronted bands. Doro Pesch, Rhea's Obsession, Android Lust and Drain STH are among the poor souls I'd left out just now. I've probably forgotten others but hey, you know what? I'm all for them. The only thing that I've not seen a woman do that a man can is pee standing up and, to be honest, somethings are just left to biology and I don't mind that. That's all well and good by me.

Women want to run for politics? Cool but ladies...Hillary already served two terms with her hand rammed up Bill's rectum. Chances are there's a woman out there with some common sense and compassion that we're lacking. Kathleen Blanco doesn't qualify either.

Women want to serve in the military? I'm fine by that but, like any man that serves, you might want to keep in mind what that's going to mean for you. If you're not ready for it, do what I did, opt out.

Women want to hold corporate seats of power? I'm all for that but ladies, please do better than the rest of us and don't get greedy.

Hey, you women want to become rock stars? It's not unheard of! Go for it! If you have stage presence, ability/talent/skill, and the drive and desire to make it, then, in the words of kHz's lead singer, "It's motherfuckin yours...so go get it."

Look, ladies, I won't hold you back just remember that becoming a man's equal is one thing but there is a reason you've collectively been known as our "better halves" and my question is, why settle?

If you're the better half then continue being that way, don't bust your ass to prove you can do the same things I can...you're human! I know you can. I can cook, clean dishes, clean house and all those domestic things, I know you can get a job, balance the bank and keep us afloat in a lot of ways. You don't have jack to prove to me. If anything, I'm of the opinion that men should be the ones striving for equality. Let's face it, if you're our better half then it's us that needs the fixing.

That's it for me. As my friend, Max would say..."Myshutupnow."

The Invasion of San Marcos, Texas

SAN MARCOS, TEXAS! LORD GENOCYDE COMETH! Posted by Picasa

San Marcos, Texas. The Allniter Diner.

When the coordinates had been set, the rest of the Impyrial forces began to gather and take their posts. Readying the ship known as The Virus 1.5, Lord Genocyde steeled himself. An entirely new place on this planet would be marked for all of recorded history.

Lord Genocyde pressed the button and the ship set off on it's slow voyage and began the journey from the bridge to what served as, for lack of a better term, his quarters. Many of the Impyrial fleet began taking their positions, taking controls off of autopilot and checking systems to ensure that all ran smoothly.

"Lord Genocyde," the ship's admiral called as he nearly had to run to keep up with The Dark Lord's quick stride, "all crew are in place. Should we speed the ship toward it's destination and take the populace by surprise."

"Absolutely not," The Dark Lord said, his voice a calm timbre that bordered the unnerving.

"I don't understand," the admiral said.

"The idea, Admiral," Lord Genocyde said, exasperated by the admiral's petty desire to overcome and overwhelm, "is to use the small sect of the population and infect their minds. They will then go out and infect others. It is why we continue our transmissions and, as soon as this vessel is fully capable, we will unleash a transmission that will take more than just that one small sect but many over this planet. We will create civil unrest and we will use them to overthrow the infrastructure in place. This wretched mass will become ours without a shot fired from this vessel. I hope you understand that, for your sake."

"My Lord," the admiral continued, "These people are resilient. They will die before they let you take their minds."

"Leave that to me, Admiral," Lord Genocyde said, stopping in his tracks, holding up one finger, his reptilian eyes shredding full-stop into the very being of the admiral.

"As you wish, Lord Genocyde," the admiral said, nodding and going about his business.

Lord Genocyde surveyed the vast expanse of the swamp that the Virus 1.5 had long since inhabited. Much of it's coastline had been destroyed a year earlier and much of that damage was still in a state of disrepair. None of the damage had been caused by the onslaught that left the swampland his. The second of the Two Great Winds had threatened to even overtake the Virus and leave Lord Genocyde to start over. He looked over the great massive landscape that he now, for better or worse, called home with a great sadness and then turned to continue to his quarters.

Along the way, many stood from their posts to show attention or bow in respect...or fear. Lord Genocyde paid them no mind, his mind was consumed with thoughts of The Second Great Wind and what had plagued him most...loss.

"It is fear of loss," an old voice said, "that can lead you to evil."

The old voice was his master, a man who had died so long ago

"You learn to overcome fear," he said, "or it will consume you. It will drive your anger, your hatred and lead others into ultimate suffering."

"I just don't want anyone I love or care about to suffer," he had said in those days of his childhood.

"I'm afraid you can't stop that," the wizened old sage told him, "People will experience pain and everyone dies. Your duty is not to stop them from dying or experiencing...that's what makes us grow. Your duty is to see to it that others, like yourself, never live their life in fear."

Lord Genocyde pushed the button on the keypad next to one door and it opened with a "hisssss." He entered and shed his cloak, hanging it from a hook protruding from the wall. A small noise issued from somewhere in the darkened chamber and Lord Genocyde approached it.
There, in a darkened corner of the large chamber, a small box sat and the small noise issue from it again. As he opened it, he kneeled and reached inside, pulling out the small grey and white mammal that cried from within. It opened it's little blue eyes and opened it's mouth, once again crying out in a, "Meeeeew!"

Lord Genocyde's claw-like finger moved over it's furry head for a few strokes and then, from the base of his feet he heard, "Mrraaooow!"

He looked down and saw the larger of the two mammals, nearly it's doppelganger except in size and placed it back into the box. They were called kids...or kittens...something of that nature, he knew it, but it would not come to him. The larger animal, it's mother, disappeared into the box and began the routine task of bathing and cleaning them.

Lord Genocyde began to unfasten his armor and place it on the mannequin that would disappear into the wall. As the light shone from behind the dummy, the breastplate and backplate were shed to reveal horrible scars that marred his flesh and with each of the pieces that were removed, more scars were uncovered.

His reptilian eyes stared at the reflection in the plastic of the tube that surrounded the mannequin once it closed. Though they were old scars, they never seemed to fade. A fierce battle, nearly a personal war had been waged and his master's life had been hanging in the balance. Though he fought and fought and eventually let his hatred drive him, giving in completely, and letting the darkness flow through him, his master had still lost his life ...and it was his own best friend who had killed him. Genocyde had killed him but not before nearly losing his own life, vowing that the last words his former best friend had heard would be "I despise you!" before she fell at his hands.

Finally, standing ready for stasis for the journey, the armored dummy's tube closed and retracted into the wall. A coffin-like device lay open and Lord Genocyde climbed in, submerging himself in the liquid contained within. The lid hissed as the door had when it had opened and continued hissing as the pod closed itself. Suddenly, the liquid began to cool and Lord Genocyde's mind began to drift to the low-level pulses, to the bodies writhing beneath them...to the heralding of a new dawn for The Empyre.

To Be Continued In San Marcos, TX on October 28th from 6:00pm - 1:00am

In Retrospect (Bouncing Back)

Oh Look...I'm Back Online... Posted by Picasa

Some might classify it as the most insane story ever told. Some would classify it a work of fiction but through all of it, I can guarantee you that everything happened. If you hear something about me, chances are, it's true...even the negative things.

I can say that, hindsight being what it is, my life has been interesting. The last post...the one about the playlist for my funeral has had me thinking a lot about that.

I've had so many close calls and, for each of them, I've had to bury someone else. Perhaps this is why I'm so damned reclusive. All these things that have risen and taken arms against me, they've seen that, to thier horror, I've come back each time.

It's sad to look at old pictures of yourself from way back when and think, "Damn shame he died when he did." That's what I always think. That kid everyone used to know as a little wierd has become the man they fear in most cases.

This particular trip around the block has been a strange one. As I've gone headlong into it, completely twisted, I can say that there has been a lot in my pastline that I wish I could go back and do over again. So much I'm not proud of but then again, not one single regret.

Now, I say scrap that playlist. Don't bother with it. Why? They'll only be holding a funeral for a corpse. It won't be me in the box or the urn. It will be what's left of a half-life, a reanimation, something...that maybe should not have lived but, inexplicably, did. The truth is, while I don't plan on inhabiting this body for too many of your years, I know something most will never know.

Everyone, go out and grab your telescopes tonight, plug in the coordinates for a celestial body that is known as Libra RA 14h 48m 5s D-02 23'. This is the one to keep your eyes on. I say this because, as of the 27th of this very month, that one small (or seemingly so) celestial body will make me immortal. That's right, I cannot be killed as of that date.

To those that hate me, you still have a little time...just not much.

On the 27th, Libra RA 14h 48m 5s D-02 23' will be known as Damien V. Cross. Many many centuries, even millennia ago, there were heroes of myth and legend, people who killed a great many others and died in the process having heavenly bodies named for them. I never killed a man, I was always known as a villain more than a hero but, still, someone thought it might be a good idea to immortalize me.

Yes, I'm going to be around for many many years ...centuries...millennia...who knows? Whenever you feel like things are impossible, look to the sky at night, see the spectacular sight of the moon, see those beautiful clusters of stars. I'm up there with the rest of them. I'm keeping an eye out for you and I'm never far away. I'm up there with billions and billions of people who've become an immortal like myself and, who knows? That star may be the sun to a planetary system. Imagine that.

For now, though, I'm off to bed...rough night at work.

Love you all.

Damien's Funeral Playlist

There was an interesting question I was asked and I figured I'd go ahead and list my songs...plural. I've got a playlist for ya though it's not in any real order.

The Murderdolls - People Hate Me

Well, this song I had to pick because mostly it's loud, obnoxious and sorta conveys a mutual sentiment I have with a majority of the population of this town.

Faith And The Muse - Cantus.

Gotta play the remix of the song I'm using as a theme song for my show. It's big and apocalyptic in sound. Combine that with Monica Richards singing in latin and it's just all around fuck off beautiful

Type O Negative - 12 Black Rainbows

This song starting out with "Idle hands may be the Devil's work / unbridled minds, you see, are so much worse." and I think that about sums it up.

Ozzy Osbourne & Lita Ford - Close My Eyes Forever

Hey, why not? Lita was a little hottie...and still is.

Evanescence - Anywhere

Gotta love this one and the overall performance of this song was beautifully done. Last thing I want people doing is sobbing like little girls with skinned knees into their drinks during the funeral...someone better be drunk as shit and partying.

Scum of The Earth - Altargirl 13

Hey, these guys have never made women who let themselves be used as altars sound so damn sexy.

Immune System - We Are Elite

Comin from my friend Todd Ruzicka...I think the name says it all, even if some can't handle it.

Collide - Beneath The Skin

It's one of my favorite and most powerful songs by Collide. You can't beat their sound and, for anyone without 6 left feet such as I....Dance sonsabitches!

KMFDM - Dogma

I've always loved this one and it's been the best social statement ever made by a band and, frighteningly enough, it's timeless as hell.

Starlit - Transformation

Simara Rose really kicks ass on this one, combining her sensuality with her teasing and taunting playful side and giving it to you straight whether or not you like it. I figure that with this one, it's all about attitude.

Diverje - Individual

self-explanatory

Nightwish - Dark Chest of Wonders

...just cuz I dig it.

Evanescence - Whisper

Because, much like this song, I'm comin back to haunt at least one motherfucker.

The Imperial March (The Virus Remix)

Gotta play my rock remix of this old fave to close out the festivities.

Now, in true show style, I'mma leave everyone there with enough time for a request or two so the playlist will actually be longer than that but I hope that helps.

I'm done, that's it. That's all I have. Hope you weren't too disappointed.

*end transmission*
